A beautiful hill station placed 1000 m above the sea level with a decent bracing cool climate, Saputara the “Adobe of Serpents”, is placed in the forest realm of Dangs of Sahyadari Ranges. The holiday destination, the only hill station in Gujarat, is located on the Maharashtra-Gujarat border. As per the Hindu mythology, Lord Ram exhausted his 11 years of deport in the thick forests of Saputara. There is a divinity of a serpent (snake) located on the banks of the river Sarpaganga.
