Dubare is a woodland area, amidst the flourishing greenery of Coorg situated on the banks of river Kaveri, in between Kushalnagar and Siddapur, wherein an elephant training camp is present run by the Forest Department of Coorg. This area is inhabited by the Kurbas, the local tribal. During the reign of Maharaja of Mysore, the Dubare reserve forest was used to train the elephants for the distinguishing Mysore Dussehra festival.
