The Great Wall Of China

Architecturally, The Great Wall of China was constructed with beautiful polished stones and earthen fortifications in northern China. It was mainly built to shield the northern borders of the Chinese Empire against invasions by numerous itinerant crowds. Since the 5th century BC , various walls have been built that are referred to cooperatively as the Great Wall. During the 5th century BC to 16th century, these walls has been rebuilt and maintained with innovative designs and interiors to stay alive for so many years. Between 220–206 BC, the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang was built the most famous wall built wall.

To the east, The Great Wall stretches from Shanhaiguan and Lop Lake in the west. At the southern edge of Inner Mongolia, an arc moved towards it. After a long research of archaeological survey, the conclusion has been made that the walls measure 8,851.8 km (5,500.3 mi), using latest technologies. This is made up of 6,259.6 km (3,889.5 mi) sections of actual wall, 359.7 km (223.5 mi) of trenches and 2,232.5 km (1,387.2 mi) of natural self-protective obstacles such as hills and rivers.

Going back to the Chunqiu period of 722 to 481 BC, Known as the 'Long Wall of Ten Thousand Li', the formidable defensive structures built to protect from regular attacks of the Celestial Empire by barbarians was called the Great Wall or the Wall of China by Europeans.
